Students
My students, my pride
Some profiles of artists I have worked with over the years. Whether for recurring courses or for episodic coaching, each of them have left their traces in my life. The teacher/student relationship must be based on a bond of trust and cultivated with pleasure.
To follow their careers and artistic developments, I invite you to follow them on various digital platforms. Here you will find links to their social networks. Please encourage them by subscribing and sharing their art.
Johanne Lemay and Lucie Fournier
Johanne has been studying singing for several years with Samanta and Lucie is a self-taught guitarist.
They met during a band class that Mathieu was giving at the time. From these lessons was born the band Studio 365 and a beautiful friendship between Johanne and Lucie.
Kaëla Sullini
“Since I was little, music has been my passion. I have always had a penchant for singing. It’s my way of expressing myself, of escaping, of vibrating.”
Marianne Choquette-Brunet
"My name is Marianne Choquette-Brunet and I am 14 years old. Music has always been part of my life. I can't imagine my life without it. It helped me get through the most difficult times Singing on stage allows me to express my feelings that I had hidden from everyone and to transmit them to the public.
Micheline and Melany
Micheline, a student at the École nationale de la chanson, and Mélany, a pop/jazz piano student at Lionel-Groulx college, have been sharing their art together for a year now. They complement each other to create their duo which, in the colors of their inspirations, will transport you into a warm atmosphere.
Milo Robitaille
"Yo! I'm Milo, I'm 15 years old.
I hope you will like me {he/he/him},
I have been singing for a few years and I fell in love with it discreetly. My anxiety may have told me to stop, but my passion and the people around me encouraged me to live as me."
Philippe Tremblay
Aged 19, Philippe already has a good musical background behind him. Through numerous events, competitions and festivals, he stood out in 2020 during the show La Voix by reaching the semi-final as part of the Garou team. More recently, he had the honor of playing the role of Quasimodo in the new version of the musical “Notre-Dame de Paris”. Philippe is also a singer-songwriter and a jack-of-all-trades musician. Having built his knowledge around the guitar, he became interested, over the years, in a range of different instruments.
Rafael Dolan-Bachand
Rafaël Dolan-Bachand is a 16-year-old singer-songwriter. After participating in La Voix Junior in 2016, he toured extensively with Marc Dupré and Mario Pelchat and appeared on the album Noël Ensemble by Mario Pelchat and Les Prêtres. Thanks to this collaboration, he obtained his first gold record. Rafael is mainly inspired by artists such as Grimes and Poppy.
Sierra and Edward Robidoux
Edward Robidoux and Sierra Robidoux have been making music together since they were young. Edward is studying a double DEC in human sciences, mathematics and jazz drums at the CEGEP in St-Laurent, while Sierra is studying primary and preschool education at the University of Montreal. Edward started drum lessons at age 5 and Sierra started voice lessons at age 8. Edward subsequently evolved with the choir of the Académie Ste-Thérèse, with the jazz band, with the drumline as well as with a vocal troupe. Multi-instrumentalist, he now plays drums, piano and guitar. For her part, Sierra was a member of a vocal troupe, participating in the television show Crescendo, at Cégep en Spectacle and in her school's jazz band. The two also won the local Secondary Show final together with their band and Edward won the regional Secondary Show final the following year with another group. For two years, the brother and sister duo have been composing their own songs together and will present two of their compositions this evening: Strangers and Broken.
